The International Toy Fair which celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2019 will again focus on new trend-setting toys. As one of the major exhibitors, the international Simba Dickie Group will be represented on a number of stands with over 20 brands and a diverse range of new products.

Under the slogan “Ready, Steady, Play!” the Toy Fair presents toys that get children moving. Supporting children’s natural inclination to move and promoting their healthy development – this has been part of BIG’s product philosophy for decades. The manufacturer of the popular classic BIG Bobby Car introduces sturdy new vehicles into the junior fleet in 2019. The new multifunctional BIG buggy as a combined baby walker, play buggy and Bobby Car trailer supports a child’s first steps from the age of 12 months.

The sporty BIG Scooter is both up with the latest trend but also comfortable and safe for young riders from age 18 months. The balance bike is a fun way to hone their motor skills and sense of balance, making them feel as though they are on an Italian piazza as they attract attention with the horn and engines noises provided by a sound module. The wheels coated with a wear-resistant premium soft material provide excellent road-holding. The ingenious BIG Cosy plastic sheet suitable for children aged one to five years can be used in a variety of ways: as a see-saw, spinning top, slide and storage place for toys.

And last but not least among the products at the Toy Fair, the toy car maker reveals a completely new interpretation of its toy and design classic of 1972 – the BIG Bobby Car Neo.

As a fun sports product, the red cult car, the BIG Bobby Car, has in the last few decades almost made it into the next category: “Toys 4 Kidults” – as the 2019 Toy Fair theme is entitled that encompasses new products where the target group is principally adults whose love of play has no age threshold.

Children are equipped for any duty with the classic police-themed collection from Dickie Toys. The SOS range comprises emergency vehicles such as an ambulance, prisoner van or patrol car, designed with light and sound effects to create a realistic atmosphere for games involving robberies, prison breaks or traffic accidents.

Dickie Toys offers a smart toy in conjunction with a classic toy crane. With the newly developed crane, which is controlled via an app, children from age 6 become crane operators or head of their own construction company after a little practice and obtaining their operator licence. Loading and unloading areas are set out on a large play mat where containers and transport vehicles are available. The key feature:

the app specifies loading areas and material and the play mat recognises whether loading has been carried out in the correct place. In the professional mode, problems occur which must be overcome such as a burst water pipe or storm warning.
